GP Net Earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g average pay) for GP's working to deliver NHS services to patients in each practice.

The average pay for GP.s working at Dr Harbidge and Partners in the last financial year was £124,173 as of 2016/17, before tax and National Insurance. This is for five full time GP's.

The prescribed method for calculating net earnings is potentially misleading as it does not take into account how many session a GP work and can for example be distorted by having numerous part time or Locum GP's and should not be used for any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with other practices.
